Our Lessons

Specifically for ages 3.5 - 5years.

Will be focusing on basic movement and water confidence in and around the pool. Once this level is completed, swimmers should be able to move 5m confidently  

Designed for swimmers aged 4.5 - 5years+.

For children with either no or basic experience in the water. This class will start looking at body positions on both front and back and will build on to paddling on front and kicking on backs for 5m. 

Once the swimmer has completed this level they should be able to do paddle on front and kick on back unaided for 5m without putting their feet on the floor.

Designed for swimmers that can paddle and kick unaided for 5m.

In this class swimmers will begin to develop into swimming frontcrawl and backstroke. They will also be introduced to breaststroke kick. 

Once a swimmer has completed this level they should be able to swim frontcrawl and backstroke for 5m taking at least one breath and not putting their feet down. They should also have an understanding of how to do breaststroke kick

Child needs to be able to swim frontcrawl and backstroke without putting their feet down.

This class will be swum in deep water!

In this class swimmers will be learning how to swim in deep water. They will learn the correct breathing technique for frontcrawl and will develop their breaststroke kick and introduce the arm pull. They will also be introduced to dolphin kick.

Once this level has been completed swimmers should be able to swim confidently for 10m in deep water, frontcrawl should be performed with the correct breathing and breaststroke should be completed with arms and legs.

Advanced

For swimmers that can confidently swim in deep water and can swim frontcrawl, backstroke and breaststroke.

In this class swimmers will begin to learn the timing of all four strokes. They will also learn how to dive in this level. 

Once they have completed this level they should be able to swim at least 15m of frontcrawl, backstroke and breaststroke with the correct breathing and timing and 10m of butterfly with the correct breathing.

Swimmers should be able to swim at least 15m of each stroke and 10m of butterfly.

This class is about fine-tuning the strokes and introducing new skills that they could use if they wish to progress into competitive swimming. they will learn skills such as racing dives and tumble turns.

By the end of this level swimmers can either progress into our swim fit class or onto a swimming club. Swimmers should also be able to swim 25m of the 3 strokes and at least 15m of butterfly.
